Blackfinn Event October 13th

Sweets for A Cure is hosting a great event at Blackfinn American Saloon in Arlington Highlands on Wednesday, October 13th from 5-8.  For a $10 wristband you get free appetizers and 1/2 price drinks along with a chance to win a Blackfinn gift card.  The first 70 people will get a $10 gift card to Golfsmith - that's like getting in for free!  We'll have door prizes and giveaways each hour so stop by and see us!

In conjunction with the event we're having a raffle that includes a romance package (limo, dinner and overnight stay), autographed photo and cookbook from Paula Deen, autographed hat from Texas Ranger pitcher Frank Francisco and many other great items.  Tickets are $5 for one or $20 for five.  Email sweetsforacure@yahoo.com if you would like more info.  You don't have to be present at the event to win!

Living Color in Mansfield has agreed to have a fundraiser for us on Saturday, September 11.  Come and join us anytime between 10-6 to paint your own pottery and we'll get 50% of the sale.  More details will be available as we get closer to the date.

I've been getting deliveries all week for our upcoming online auction and just got an email today confirming that Keurig is donating a Special Edition Home Brewing System and a case of K Cups to the auction.  The retail value is about $195!  If you haven't seen these systems check it out at www.keurig.com I'm always impressed by the generosity of people and feel so thankful to have received so many great donations.  So, keep checking back for more donations!

Cookies for the Cure

What a great way to treat yourself or someone you know and support a great cause.  I'm going to be offering cookie bouquets for a minimum $30 donation to my Komen 3 Day fundraiser (plus shipping if not in the local area).  These will include 7 homemade cookies decorated as you wish in a pot with tissue decorations. 

How can you get one?  Contact me to ensure availability of the design and date needed.  Do not make a donation before you get confirmation from me that I can make it.  I have no way of refunding your donation from the Komen site.
